Adult Sunday School:  9:45am - 10:45am

AUMC offers a variety of Sunday morning small group adult classes. In these groups, there is a sense of being connected by reading and studying scripture, discussing topical issues, and encouraging one another. Through these interactions social, spiritual and emotional growth occurs. Classes are held at 9:45am - 10:45am on Sunday mornings. See the lists below for classes that fit your needs. Visitors are always welcome. If you would like more information on any of the classes contact the office at 972-231-1005 or via email.

Need a Ride to AUMC? If you live within 5 miles from the church and you’d like to attend Sunday School and 11pm Worship on a regular basis, but you don’t drive or have a ride – Mobile Ministry to the rescue!  To reserve your seat for the church’s free Sunday morning shuttle service (pickup before Sunday School and return after Worship) call Judy at  972-231-1005 by 2pm Friday.  You can also email her.  A Mobile Ministry representative will contact you to confirm your pickup location and time.

Pastor's Class - All Ages - Room 16
Reverend Jack Soper teaches this class which is primarily a lecture format with some discussion. Topics range widely, including biblical studies from the Old and New Testaments as well as topical and theological studies. Members of the class vary widely in age, from younger to older adults. All are welcome to this thought-provoking class where you will be intellectually challenged, emotionally stimulated and spiritually nourished.

---------------------------------------------------

Lifesearch - Age 20-40's - Room 14
LifeSearch is a self-directed class of adults with similar life issues (careers, families, life changes, etc.), generally with young families, seeking to explore Christian values and to grow spiritually, intellectually, and emotionally. Lively discussion of biblically-based subjects helps us understand our place in this world and how to successfully order our lives to spread that word to others. Recognizing the value of community, we plan monthly socials, some with our families and some for adults only.

Genesis - Age 30-50's - Room 21
Visitors are welcome! We are a group of adults supporting each other in the study of scripture and how it applies to daily living in our relationships with our families, our work, our friends, and our faith. Our discussion-oriented studies provide insight into current events, scripture, and our daily faith walk. Most of us are parents in our 30' and 40's, both married and single with children of all ages.

We also are very active in the children's programs and the missions of the church. In addition, we enjoy class social events throughout the year.

---------------------------------------------------

Quest - Age 40-60's - Room 2
Quest Class members are a mix of married couples and singles ranging in age from the 40’s to 65+. Although we take our faith seriously, we believe religion should be fun; our classes could be described as casual with lots of participation and room for different opinions to be heard. Social events are held periodically to add to our fellowship. Currently we are enjoying a twelve week series presentd by Dr. John Millerman, The Science and Religion of Happiness. We’d love for you to join us and see why this class continues to thrive after almost 25 years!

---------------------------------------------------

Open Door - Senior Adults - Room 18
The Open Door Sunday School Class is made up of about 50 very active Senior Members of The Arapaho UMC. In 1997 the New Horizon Class and the Open Door Class combined; since then the class membership has more than doubled in size. Hal Schroeder and Ray Corley provide teaching leadership. We begin our class with announcements, sharing of joys and concerns, a hymn, and a prayer. The group forms a circle for the closing prayer. While we share a very strong bond of friendship we welcome and actively seek new members. We support many of the missions and activities of the church as well as projects of our own, including the Dick Bourne Scholarship Fund.
